Sport massage is great for helping with pain caused by muscular skeletal problems. This can include strains, sprains, muscle soreness and tightness, neck pain, back pain and can be used to reduce swelling or improve healing, or as general maintenance to improve well being.
Bookings can be from 30 minutes up to an hour and a half.
Some injuries will prevent massage so please mention this when booking and the first session will always require an assessment to be done along with a medical form.
Kinisio tape can be used to support a joint or muscle or reduce pain and speed healing. It does this by slightly lifting the skin to allow for blood and lymph to follow more freely through the affect area.
Common uses for kinsio tape in sport is ankles, knees, wrists and shoulders, however it can be used anywhere.
Most tape is hypoallergenic however if you are allergic to plasters then there is a high chance that you may be allergic to the adhesive.
Taping appointments vary in time depending on the area required and prices will vary depending on the time and quantity of tape used. For the best price book as an add on with a sports massage!
Massage can be used before a sporting event to help warm up muscles, it can increase blood flow and improve neuro response time.
Pre event massage is light massage to help remove build up in the muscle and release tightness that occured during the activity.
Both of these can be 15-20 minute sessions
Because I am portable I am able to set up at events and remain there to offer either pre or post event massage or general massage for spectators.
I am also able to come to business locations if required provided there is appropriate space to set up. sessions for this can be 15- 30 mins.
